Not Accepting disconnection of service

Location/place: Mumbai

Name of company/service: Vodafone India

I have applied for disconnection of service for one mobile number from vodafone. But my registered email address was my previous company email address which after resignation is invalid.

They are not disconnecting the connection saying that the disconnection request should come from that email address only. Also they are saying change of email address is possible only after I send email from registered email id.

I am stuck as I do not wish to ocntinue the service and forced to do so.
