My mobile number “7403288296” was already disconnected with Aircel from 16/01/2013 after receiving a call from the customer care for giving the porting id “DL288296” on 15/01/2013.
The information was “do port your number immediately..!!”.
On 15/01/2013 itself I made the porting request to change from Aircel to Airtel.
The moment after I made the porting request I have got a message from Aircel quoting “Your request for porting the 7403288296 to Airtel has been received”.
I didn’t see any change in the porting the number over the next seven days. I have contacted the customer care several times and now they are telling “The validity of your porting id has expired, please request for a new one via email”.
As per the instruction I have mailed them for the new porting id and within the next one hour I dot a call from the customer care “Your mobile number is already disconnected and you can’t port your number”.
I request you to take necessary steps.
As per TRAI “Deactivation of a SIM without prior intimation and on arbitrary grounds deprives the subscriber of his mobile number which might have been an identity for him for a long time”.
