I Have a Blackberry Bold 9780 and have been using it for less than a year. I still have 6 months left. the phone that I have been using was in the best condition. Not dropped even once, yes, not even once. I’m a person working on the field(marketing) and one fine day while using the phone, the screen developed a black patch in the top right corner. I sent it for a warranty claim and today i get a call saying that the screen is not covered under warranty. I then asked how and why is it so? the reply was that i had dropped the phone hard and damaged the screen. At the moment when the patch appeared, it was in my hand and I really never ever dropped it. I just have a strong feeling that Blackberry does not want to bare the expense of 8500 on replacing the screen and wants to pass it on to the customer. Really Sir/Madam, I have really never dropped the phone. Infact I had had a rubber protector put on. I then again called up the service centre and they said that I have been sent an email regarding the damage, but as I checked my email, I do not even have an email from the blackberry service centre. and on calling them, they are not answering my call now. Please Help me Sir… I have spent my own money and cant go through this loss.
