dear Sir,
my brother in law had joined coaching classes with a particular institute in Pitampura (DELHI) and paid the full amount of the course by cheque. at the time of payment attendant had not given the receipt stating that their system is down. despite so many reminders to the attendant we never got the receipt (i will accept the blame of carelessness on my brother in law also).
after 40 days all of sudden coaching classes team has announced that they are closing their operations from Pitampura and classes will be conducted in Kalu Sarai which is almost 25 K.M. away from Pitampura. when we contacted them for the refund of the fees, we have been clearly denied by them and their staff is so misbehaved that they do not even entertain us properly. whenever we claim our fees from them, they always ask for receipt of the payment which we do not have, but as the payment was made by cheques hence they cannot deny the receipt of the funds.
please suggest if we can bind them legally and if we can get the claim of fees refund.
