I would like to bring to your kind notice the way these companies are cheating its customers. We have bought few clothes on sale from these outlets where discounts were flat 50% and they charged 5% extra Vat on the discounted amount. We already know that the basic price on which sale is applicable is always after adding VAT so why should we give double VAT on purchase of discounted clothing. Companies like PUMA, Wills Lifestyle, Peter England, Louis Phillipe, Shoppers Stop all are charging extra VAT, whereas there are loyal companies like Indian Terrain who are not charging extra VAT. Kindly look into the matter and take necessary actions.
