Name of company/service: Apollo Hospitals
My dad has parkinsons and one night he was not able to move freely. So we decided to admit him to the Apollo Hospital so that he could be taken care of. There was nothing clinically wrong. Dr (I doubt he is one) Srikanthaswamy saw him and without seeing any of his history (past 18 yrs of parkinsonism) he decided to put him in ICU. He also changed his medication without seeing what he was taking currently. In the night as a normal symptom of the disease / medication, he hallucinates / gets nightmares. The incompetent staff in the hospital diagnosed this as convulsions and Srikanthaswamy (I cannot call him a Dr) advised Anti-Convulsants that are not supposed to be given to a Parkinson;s patient. As a result my dad was sleeping for the next 3 days. Due to this his leg became very stiff and his mobility even more impaired. After 15 days he was discharged in a worse condition that he was admitted after giving a fat bill of 1.8 lacs.
My advise is that pls do not take any one to the Apollo Hospitals on B. G. Road.
