I purchased a Galaxy Ace on the 18th of February 2012 in Chennai from Univercell, Annanagar.
Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been very disappointing.
I give below the details of my experiences with the product:
MODEL: GT-S5830i : GALAXY ACE
Purchased in -Feb (*359160/04/524815/9*)
Given for repairs on March 15, April21, May 28, June 28 – problem phone hanging during converstation or even when idle. Only softwares updated.
28/6/12 : Anna Nagar Service Centre of Samsung gave number of Mr. Sebastian (9841964441) Area Manager. Spoke to Mr. Sebasitan gave all information and details. Mr. Sebastian spoke to service centre and confirmed changing the handset. (bill No.4133918630) in 5 days.
2/7/12 : Called Service centre. Lady mentioned that the phone has gone for replacement will take 25 days.
3/7/12 : Called Vimal who said Mobile after internal checks being sent to Samsung. Will deliver by 6th July
Handset replaced (with old one) on 11th July 2012 (delivered by Mr. Raghu):

20/7 – system hangs thrice.
23/7, 24/7 & 27 got call from people that mobile is not reachable while the mobile was on.
changed handset to check if problem with sim. No problem found.
28/7 took handset to service centre again. they did not enter problem into system. only updated software & returned.
29/7 purchased Nokia handset as standby
30/7 samsung handset hung while talking to Chairman. switched to standby phone for precaution. put sim back on the samsung phone later
2/8 phone not reachable while on screen it showed full signal strength.
3/8 & 4/8 phone hangs & re-starts while talking & listening to music
You would notice that ever since i bought this phone, i have been having problems and have had to invest in an alternate phone for standby purposes.
I would request the company to immediately replace my phone with a new handset or re-fund the amount.
I have undergone a lot of stress and agony because of this malfunction from time to time.
